Some Hotels to Consider

textoverlay.png

Jordaan is one of the favorite neighborhoods of Amsterdam for tourists. Peaceful with narrow streets and little canals. Art studios, old-fashioned "brown" pubs, boutiques and galleries. Once a working-class district, the Jordaan is now one of Amsterdam’s most charming and exciting neighbourhoods, boasting a range of the city's best cultural offerings. Jordaan has a residential feel to it. Many feel the best way to experience Jordaan is not to head for the usual tourist spots but to walk around like a local. But it is hard to avoid those tourist spots that include the Anne Frank House, the Noorderkerk, Westerkerk and the Houseboat Museum.

Click the pic to go to museumquarter.com, an online magazine of all things MQ. Their Map page allows for a comprehensive display of Sights, Hotels, Restaurants, etc. The Museum Quarter is Amsterdam's cultural district. Located in the heart of the city, this is where you will find the three most important museums in the Netherlands: the Rijksmuseum, the Stedelijk Museum and the Van Gogh Museum. To top it off culturally, the MQ is where the Concertgebouw is located. The square between the Rijksmuseum and the Concertgebouw is known as Museumplein and is Amsterdam's most popular tourist spot.
